    Mike Heisterkamp -  General Manager/Director of Golf

    Mike came to Chagrin Valley Country Club in 1991 as an Assistant Golf Professional working under long time Golf Professional and Pro Emeritus, Jim Chapman. Upon Mr. Chapman's retirement in 1994, Mike was named Head Golf Professional.

    Mike's playing accomplishments include winning more than 20 NOPGA events, representing the NOPGA on five Ohio Cup Teams, qualifying for six Club Professional National Championships, and being the Chagrin Valley Country Club course record holder with a 61.

    His professional accomplishments include serving on the NOPGA Board of Directors (2001-present), serving as the NOPGA Tournament Director (2001-2007), NOPGA Secretary (2008-2009), NOPGA Vice President(2010-2011) and NOPGA President (2012-2013). Mike currently serves as the NOPGA Honorary President through 2015.

    Mike's awards include being named the NOPGA Merchandiser of the Year (2001,2006), the 2010 NOPGA Bill Strausbaugh mentoring award, the 2011 NOPGA President's Plaque Award and in 2009 and 2013 he received the section's highest honor of being named the NOPGA Golf Professional of the Year.

    Besides serving the Membership at Chagrin Valley Country Club, Mike's primary objective is to mentor young Assistant Professionals to allow them to further their own careers in the Golf Industry. Mike currently has six former Assistant Professionals serving as Head Professionals around the country.

    Mike is married to his wife of 23 years, Patricia. They enjoy their children John (19), Nicholas (16), and Cara (11). Besides spending time with his family, Mike's interests include: Cooking, golf history, and all Cleveland sports teams. Go Browns!!!

    Shawn Tompkins - Head Golf Professional

    Shawn was born and raised in Northeast Ohio where he excelled in both baseball and golf. Shawn thought he wanted to pursue a career in Major League Baseball after he pitched in an All-Star game in his senior year of high school at then Jacobs Field. However, his love of golf and his inability to hit 90 MPH on the radar gun made him pursue a career in golf.

    Shawn has worked at some of finest golf clubs in America. From 2005 through 2007 he worked at The Country Club in Pepper Pike and The Bear's Club in Jupiter, Florida. Looking for another challenge he moved to Jack Nicklaus' Muirfield Village Golf Club in Columbus where he was in charge of the merchandise tent at the PGA Tour's Memorial Golf Tournament. Another opportunity came at the Pepper Pike Club in 2009 where Shawn returned to Northeast Ohio and obtained his Class A PGA Membership.

    In addition to pursuing his goal of becoming a Head Golf Professional, Shawn works with disabled golfers for the Northern Ohio Golf Association's The Turn Program. His love of teaching has also allowed him to become the Assistant Girl's Golf Coach at Hathaway Brown High School.
    Shawn is married to Megan and they welcomed their first child, Luke Raymond, in March of 2017. He also enjoys cooking, fishing, working in his yard and all Cleveland sports teams!

    Joshua Diemer - Lead Assistant Golf Professional

    Joshua was born and raised in Grove City, Ohio a suburb of Columbus. He got his start in golf by playing for his high school team. After a successful high school season ending in a district championship appearance, Joshua earned a scholarship to Urbana University. After two years of being a captain and playing in every event for Urbana, Joshua decided to transfer to the Ohio State University.
     
    Joshua enrolled in the Professional Golf Management program at Ohio State and served in a variety of leadership roles during his time at Ohio State. The Professional Golf Management program at Ohio State gave him his first introduction into golf course management. Joshua did internship work at Wilson Road Golf Course (Columbus), Country Acres Golf Club (Ottawa, OH), the Ohio State University Golf Club (Columbus) and Bandon Dunes Golf Resort (Bandon, OR).
     
    After graduating from Ohio State with his bachelor’s in Professional Golf Management, Joshua has continued to work at outstanding facilities nationwide. Among these are Isleworth Golf and Country Club (Windermere, FL), Canterbury Golf Club (Beachwood, OH) and with the Northern Ohio PGA as their Junior Golf Tournament Director.
     
    Joshua looks forward to continuing his growth as a golf professional at Chagrin Valley Country Club. During his off time he enjoys cheering for all things Ohio State, the Cleveland Indians.

    Dan Stupka - Director of Outside Golf Services

    Dan graduated from Ashland University in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. He also graduated from The PGA of America's Golf Professional Training Program in 2001 earning his status as a Class-A Golf Professional. During his PGA training, Dan was awarded the Titleist/Foot-joy Scholarship for achieving the highest grades in his class.

    He has worked at some outstanding golf facilities over the years: World Woods (FL) 1996-1998, Chagrin Valley (OH) 1999-2000, Plumbrook (OH) 2001-2002, Catawba Willows (OH) 2003-2006, Thunderbird Hills (OH) 2007-2009, The Bridge (NY) 2010-2011, The Dye Preserve (FL) 2010-2012, and most recently at Stonewater (OH) 2013.

    Dan has won 2 NOPGA section events, including the Pro-Assistant Championship with Mike Heisterkamp while working here at Chagrin Valley CC in 2000.

    Besides playing golf, Dan's interests include: Fishing, Hunting, Browns football, Cavs basketball, Indians baseball, The Michigan Wolverines, and his 1 year old Silver Labrador Retriever - Jethro
